Coat Care:If
you wish to show your SWD the coat care required will depend on the length you
keep your dog's coat. In
Spain their standard states that the coat should be no less than 3cm and no more
than 12cm growth when extended to show the quality of the curl. |

No combs or brushes
of any kind should be used on the coat, you need to separate the coat with your
fingers to prevent matts forming. The
coat will become easier to maintain once it matures. When
you clip the coat it should be clipped the same length all over. |

the coat:You should
never use hot water to shampoo your dog as this will make the coat matt, particularly
the softer puppy coat. The
coat does not need washing too often, the dogs always being in the water helps
to keep it clean. |
